I first began teaching this course at Trinity College and then reworked it when I came to Wesleyan University, where it became a half-credit course that meets once a week for 80 minutes.
The course focuses on getting students to write six reflections about their time at Wesleyan, drawing on their experiences inside and outside of the classroom. They arrange these reflections in a WordPress website and learn some UX research methods skills along the way.
I’m especially proud of the fact that I used WPCourseware to turn my the WordPress website I used for the course into a learning management system (i.e. my own personalized Moodle/Canvas).
