Data Literacy

The Tufts Tisch Library used to host a “data boot camp” for librarians in the social sciences, and that’s where I gave this talk in 2017.

I tried to frame this talk around a note of caution: that “big data” brings with it many opportunities, but also can be quite dangerous. I am especially proud of slide #17, which tries to place data on a continuum.
